Are you frustrated with an extraverted colleague (or boss)?
Or wondering how you can effectively market yourself?
My goal is to get you to the point where you have mastered your issues, whether they're dealing with extraverts or learning how to capitalize on being an introvert to promote yourself -- or something else.
Zilch frustration.
Feeling good about marketing again.
Since most introverts, including you, have tremendous capability, the goal is realistic!
Using my professional expertise and training, I provide you with in-depth insight on how to approach issues. I employ several well-developed frameworks to do this: my own "Leveraging Introvert Potential" model as well as the mindfulness-based "Acceptance and Commitment Training" model and other highly regarded approaches.
Equally important, it's not all just talk. I also give you ongoing practical help and counseling (e.g., feedback and guidance) until you accomplish what you set out to do. As you take actions, I consult on the unique dynamics of your workplace/situation until you make concrete changes in how you are perceived and in how you manage your professional interactions to your advantage. (Please see Services for the problems/issues with which I help.)
I work individually with you in much that same way that you serve your own clients or internal customers. We begin with an introductory session, followed by a structured and comprehensive assessment of your needs, followed by planning and goal setting which lead to implementation or actions. Finally, together we evaluate your results. See this page for more details on this process.
In every phase, I brainstorm with you, analyze your situation in as much detail as needed from a systems perspective, and deliver expert feedback and professional insight.
A fundamental premise of my work with you is that you do not need to become an extravert to do well. Instead, I identify your strengths as an introvert and I consult with you to devise practical and effective ways to capitalize on them.
A client told me not long ago that I am her "business therapist." In the sense that a therapist is a confidant with unique and in-depth professional expertise in the serious challenges that one faces, her description is on the mark.
